Coaches' Requirements

Coaches Requirements – From Canada Soccer and MSA
1. Minimum Coaching Certification – U4-6 (Active Start) U7-8 ( FUNdamentals) U9-12 (Learn to Train) U13+ (Soccer for Life) , these courses have an asynchronous online component that can be done immediately and then Phoenix will provide the on-field component (dates to be determined). Coaches can find and register for the online portion on the MSA website- http://manitobasoccer.ca/page.php?page_id=115230
2. Respect in Sport: For Activity Leaders- all coaches will complete this free online course (about 2.5 hours that can also be done asynchronously) – it can be found and registered for by coaches at Sport Manitoba’s website https://sportmanitoba.respectgroupinc.com/
3. Criminal Background Check- Required for all coaches – For U4-12 coaches a CPIC (Canadian Police Information Center) number is the requirement. U13+ coaches require a CPIC.
4. (Child Abuse Registry) clearance. Form will be provided form East End to complete.
5. NCCP Making Ethical Decisions
East End will reimburse all coaches as they provide us the information.
