Public Skating

 

The City Of Winnipeg Public skating will run from September 25th - December 19th and again in January - March. Saturdays from 6:30 - 7:30 PM, and Sundays from 1:30 - 2:30 PM.

Residents are encouraged to book public skating blocks prior to arriving at the facilities, as there is no guarantee of available blocks for registration upon arrival.

Capacity is limited to ensure physical distancing guidelines are maintained and following provincial guidelines. Individuals are asked to maintain a distance of at least two metres from every other individual who is not in their household.

  • We strongly recommend the use of a proper-fitting, CSA-approved hockey helmet with a face mask for all age groups.
  • All public skating is provided free of charge.
  • Only figure or hockey skates are permitted on the ice.
  • Due to safety and liability concerns, we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, sleds or toboggans on the ice during public skating.
  • Hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed during public skating.

 

Afternoon Skate for parent & child (5 and under), and seniors will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. starting October 13 th and running to March. There will be a 30 person limit.
